The world is a mixture of good and evil, right and wrong, the beautiful and ugly, and the oppressor and the oppressed. Many instances of wrong go unnoticed and numerous wronged people cannot recover their rights. It is only belief in the Resurrection into another world where absolute justice will prevail that consoles the wronged and oppressed. It is also this belief, which prevents them from seeking vengeance upon their oppressors. Similarly, those stricken with afflictions and misfortunes find consolation in belief in the Resurrection because they believe that whatever befalls them causes the deletion of their sins and any goods they have lost in a catastrophe will be restored to them in the Hereafter as a blessing of the Hereafter just as if they had given it as alms.
